• • • Municipality Camping of Varades: a social enterprise of the municipality. Former unemployed young people manage the campsite and do a great job!

• • • Camping Natural Living: The area of this campsite belongs to the Municipality of Samothraki. The stay is free of charge but the campsite is ill maintained. A beautiful, wild place! Can be overcrowded during the peak season in August!

Choose to stay in Palaiopolis close to the Ancient City of Samothraki, the Sanctuary of Great Gods and the Archeological Museum. You will be next to the main roads system if you want to explore Samothrace from end to end. In this case, around Palaiopolis is a suitable place to stay at.

Aigaion Guesthouse between Paleopolis and Therma is an excellent option. It offers excellent sea view, renovated rooms and a great breakfast prepared daily by the Mamma!

If you want to stay close to the port and the commercial centre of the Island, Kamariotissa will suit your needs. It is the most convenient option as the ferry drops you here. The village has supermarkets, rentals companies and many bars, kafeneion and taverns.

The Niki Beach Hotel (adults only) offers the best accommodation and service in Kamariotissa. Imagine a beautiful place, with descent Greek breakfast, the pebble beach to your doorstep, a pool offering an amazing view on the Thracian Sea and magnificent sunsets!

Chora is the capital of Samothraki Island. This picturesque town is nestled in a well-protected valley of Saos Mountain, 300m above the sea.

Chora is a traditional Greek village with narrow streets, lively squares, shops, etc. In the evening, tavernas, posh wine & liquor bars attract many visitors. You will love staying in the warm traditional and relaxing atmosphere.

At the very centre of Chora, we suggest the emblematic Oikia Fardy Guesthouse. The house belonged in the 19^th century to Nikolaos Fardys family, a doctor, philosopher, teacher, musician and mayor of Samothraki. Today, his descendants manage the fully renovated house. You may find it appealing to discover the biography of a truly unique personality at his own house!

If you love tavernas with fresh fish, the dazzling views on the Aegean Sea, Mount Athos, the Lemnos & Imvros islands, we suggest you staying in the southern part of the Island, e.g. in Makrylies.
